At a fly-tying event last year, Caitlin Wade, 11, of Lexington, and her friend, Richie Powers, 11, of Nicholasville, helped each other often yesterday as they learned how to tie flies like the Wooly Bugger, the Green Weenie and a San Juan Worm. “It’s pretty hard,” said Wade, of Lexington. “But once you get into it, it’s easier.” The two took part in a fly-tying class hosted by the Louisville Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
